I have asked Kendall Cabe at Times Two Technology to help me with two major websites: www.adeptiabpm.com and www.accuprocess.com. He and his team have always done an outstanding job in delivering very high quality results for us. Kendall and his team are extremely reliable, professional, creative and straight forward in their business interactions. Their knowledge of web technologies, Joomla, web design and programming is world class. I rely on them completely to deliver results on time and in budget.
As a veteran media relations and public relations practitioner working with management for several high profile trade shows, I have always struggled with the task of increasing trade show exhibitor participation in using news (press) releases to promote their products and services. Less than 20% of all exhibitors use news releases as part of their show marketing efforts.
Speaking to exhibitors and to trade editors, we learned some important things. First, there is a need for more news. Editors hear from the same handful of companies all the time and would like to from others. Small exhibitors (those who do not have a marketing department or public relations agency) either don’t know how to write a press release, don’t understand its role in the marketing mix or run out of time.
Could we develop a tool to produce a completed press release by simply filling out an online form. This was the challenge we brought to Times Two Technology. By listening understanding the need and the process, Times Two Technology developed an easy-to-use tool for both the trade show exhibitor and administrator and at a price point that makes it attractive for use by show management.
The Virtual Press Release Writer is making its debut for IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010 which is held in Chicago September 13-18. The tool went live in February. The goal was to double the number of exhibitors who provide press materials to the media and we are on track to meet that goal.
